Introduction

In Action Phase 0: Team Formation & Initial Assessment, MIT REAP partner regions take the first steps in mapping their Team members’ roles and understanding their innovation & entrepreneurial ecosystems through the lens of the MIT REAP framework. By utilizing the framework, they can begin to identify gaps in their Teams’ stakeholder representation as well as their ecosystem’s Innovation Capacity (I-Cap) and Entrepreneurship Capacity (E-Cap). Teams also connect with an MIT REAP Mentor from among alumni Teams to gain guidance and insights into the program.

Goals:

Identify Teams’ stakeholder members, Project Manager, and Data Rockstar

Collect data to gain deeper understanding of key drivers and levers for Innovation-Driven Entrepreneurship (IDE) in Teams’ regions

Begin to think about regional entrepreneurial quality metrics to measure broad progress in region over time
