Decluttering Rooms

If you have ADHD, your spaces perpetually look like a tornado has ripped through ー there’s stuff from everywhere, well, everywhere! This tool gives you the chance to put things back in their rightful place (where it may stay for a day or two). If you’re having a hard time picking the rooms, use the Room Selector tool below the Timer Tool to randomly select the rooms.

Instructions:

Select the rooms you’d like to tackle in the table under “Timer”.
Spend 10 minutes in each room tidying up.
If there is something that doesn’t belong in the room, place it next to the door. If there are things from many rooms, make piles for each room. It’s important to NOT leave the room you’re on until the 10 minutes is up.
When the timer stops, drop what you’re doing and move to the next room. Take this chance to put the piles you made in their respective rooms.
This will be hard because your brain craves completion but you need to STOP and move on.
Go on to the next room and repeat until you’re satisfied with each room.
Tip: Be sure to hit the “Reset” button when you come back to a room you’ve already been to!
