PCX App Store & Onboarding Testing

Presenting Research Insights

1. Format: Miro
a. Learning: Used Miro instead of a deck to share back the research findings with Karly, Aurelie, and Adam which surprisingly encouraged more engagement from our PM who read through the data in depth and documented her thoughts for later discussion.

Research Methods:

1. Method: Card Sorting
Learning: This method was a great alternative to qualitative A/B testing of the two prototype options of What You Get vs. How You Get It because participants could order them in the way they wanted based off of what’s important to them versus us presenting two options and having them choose between the two.
Learning: I think it would have been more effective to spend more time up front asking participants about their shopping behaviours, specifically with the competitor they shop with for groceries and that first time experience using their app. While the end-to-end testing helped us surface some usability issues in the flow, it took up too much time in the 30 minute testing session with minimal returns/learning. The end-to-end testing also felt like a separate research study (Does the onboarding flow make sense to new-to PCX users? versus what value propositions are enticing to new-to PCX shoppers?)
