Lumi is a currency for unsolicited emotional labour. It is identified by a snowflake symbol and the Suomi (Finnish) expression “Ole Hyvä”, which directly translates to “Be Good”, but also stands in for “You’re Welcome”. If somebody feels that they are compelled to perform emotional labour, then they can issue a Lumi to whomever made unsolicited emotional demands. This ledger is to track and monitor the distribution of emotional labour.
