Sometimes we have a decision to make and the options just swirl around in our head and the more we think about our choices, the more confused we feel about making the choice. To help you organize those thoughts and options, I created this doc to help you weigh your pros and cons and make decisions.

Step 1️⃣

It all starts at

Help Me Find an Answer⁠

Type in a question, and click Save.

Add as many questions as you want to ponder.

Step 2️⃣

Enter choices for the Question listed and click Save.

Add as many choices as you want for each question.

When you have added as many choices for that question, click Next Decision.

Repeat Step 2️⃣ for the next question displayed

Repeat this until you have entered all the choices you want to consider for this question.

Step 3️⃣

Enter a pro or con for the Choice/Question listed and click Pro if you think this is a pro or Con if you think this is a con.

Add as many pros and cons as you want for each choice.

When you have added as many pros and cons for each Choice and Question, click Next Choice.

Repeat Step 3️⃣for the next choice and question displayed

Repeat until you have entered all Pros and Cons for each Choice.

Step 4️⃣

When you have input:

at least one question

at least one choice for each question

at least one pro for each choice

at least one con for each choice

The Yes button will now be available to click. Click Yes then click on the Weigh Your Choices box.

In the Pros table choose a value for each Pro. The higher the number means the more important this choice is to you. 3 = really, really good

In the Cons table choose a value for each Con. The higher the number means the more negative you feel about this choice. 3 =really, really bad

When you have rated all the Pros and Cons for one choice, click Next Choice

Repeat valuing Pros and Cons for this choice.

Repeat until you have valued all Pros and Cons for each choice available for each question.

Step 5️⃣

Ready to know what your answer is based on how you scored your pros and cons?

Click the Decision Drum.

If you want to make changes use the options at the bottom of the page to take you to the correct page.

Use the Next Decision or Next Choice buttons to select the correct items, then you can add more Questions, Choices or Pros/Cons in the appropriate places.

When you want to start over, use the Clear button to remove all previous data then choose to Start Over.

NOTE: Do not make large life changing decisions based on this answer. Make sure to consider all your options, your values, and how your decision will affect yourself and others. However, this tool can help you think about your options, list your pros and cons and weigh them to help you make the best decision for you.
