Why do I want to write a story one word at a time?

In improv, there's a game called
One Word Story

. I remember seeing these performed by Rice's Improv group,
SPOCO

, all the time in undergrad, and I even got to try them out myself when I took a couple classes at
Endgames

when I moved out to San Francisco.
Recently, I tried this out with a group of friends who like writing as a way to do it remotely. We ended up with a super

It's a lot of fun, and I can see a group of people really getting into the groove and filling the next word with the first thing that comes to their mind, much like these improv games go.
