About Michael Haupt

Michael is the Joyful Collapsologist and a former tech exec who has implemented large-scale computer systems in 16 cities on 6 continents.

In 2004, without actively pursuing a spiritual quest and without any substance, he had an Out-of-Body experience on a beach in Thailand. During the experience he was also given a crystal-clear vision of the kind of society Charles Eisenstein was later to describe as “the world our hearts know is possible.” The experience led to a 2-year Sabbatical, during which he dived deep into consciousness research, a world he had no idea existed.

As a result of the experience, he left the corporate world to work on complex systemic issues. Since then he has consulted with a wide range of systemic change initiatives globally. He knows from bitter experience that the challenges our societies face are significant. He also knows - from history - that they are not insurmountable. They are transcendable.

In 2013, when driving into the Valley of Grace, South Africa for the first time, the same vision from 2004 unexpectedly returned, with a very clear message saying that the valley is the location where the vision will be manifest. In 2023 he launched the

Ecosystem for Regenerative Funding⁠

. He is simultaneously bringing to life the vision of a

State of Grace⁠

in the Valley of Grace, Western Cape, South Africa.

2024 is the 20-year anniversary of the initial vision. Since then the preparatory groundwork has been done and the necessary lessons learned. The world situation has subsequently deteriorated to such a point that the denizens of the valley are now ready to embrace the journey towards sovereignty.

2035 is the year Michael’s only child will turn 21. He has committed to gifting her the best 21st birthday gift he can imagine: a fully functional prototype of the vision he received in 2004. This working experiment will serve as an example to similar human settlements globally, via the State of Grace wiki.
