The story of God's grace begins in the Garden of Eden. This series walks preschoolers through the first sin of Adam and Eve, how to weigh if something is a sin or not, and how to obey God because He cares for us.

Order of Service

Sample Service Time: 9am
9:00 Play & Check-in
9:15 Clean Up
9:20 Movie & Music
9:45 Picture Passes
9:50 Story Time & Wrap Up
10:00 Adventure Books & Snacks
10:05 Check-out

Picture Passes

Place the Adventure Bag around your shoulder.
Open it up and pull out the first Picture Pass.
Follow the instructions written on the back of the Picture Pass.
Repeat these steps for the each of the Picture Passes.

STORY TIME: Review

Introduce yourself.
Say the Question together: How do you make the right choice?
Say the Answer together: I ask God! God helps me make the right choice!
Say the Verse together: James 1:5 “If any of you need wisdom, ask God for it.”

STORY TIME: Read

Lay the Story Cards in order and follow the instructions below for each card.
Story Card #1
Read the caption on the card.
Question: Where did Adam and Eve live? In God’s beautiful garden
Action: Pretend to be animals and plants in the garden.

Story Card #2
Read the caption on the card.
Question: Who wanted Eve to disobey God? The evil serpent
Action: Cover your ears, and don’t listen to the serpent!

Story Card #3
Read the caption on the card.
Question: Did Adam and Eve listen to God or to the serpent? The serpent
Action: Make a sad face.

Story Card #4
Read the caption on the card.
Question: Who did Adam and Eve hide from? God
Action: Cover your eyes like you’re hiding.

Story Card #5
Read the caption on the card.
Question: Who had to leave the beautiful garden? Adam and Eve
Action: Pretend to be an angel with a flaming sword.

STORY TIME: Remember

Hold up the first Story Card.
Ask, “What do you see in this picture?” Let kids respond to the question.
Repeat for each Story Card.

Wrap Up

Talk: God had one rule for Adam and Eve. What rules do you have at your house?
Pray: Ask kids what they want to talk to God about, and pray with them.

Adventure Books & Snacks

Invite the kids to find a seat at one of the tables.
Give each kid a snack.
Give each kid an Adventure Book, six stickers, and some crayons.
Help kids do activities inside the book.
Keep kids engaged coloring and talking during check out.
Send stickers home with kids who leave early.
When a kid leaves, tell the parents something positive about their kid.
