When does this happen during service?
The countdown video is the very first thing we do in an Elementary service. We press play on the video at the start of service. For example, if the service time is 9:00am we would start the video right at 9:00am. You don’t need to introduce the video before playing it. The video itself acts as a cue for kids to find a seat because service is starting.

What’s the win for this time?
We want to reel the kids in by playing a fun video that grabs their attention. These videos are purely for entertainment. We want to kick off the service on a fun note. During this time, we’ll help kids find a seat and get settled in.
Establish the routine.
This will be an engaging video to give kids time to settle down, and focus their attention in one place.
Take this time to model to kids what they need to be doing during this time. Cleaning up any toys, finding a place to sit, and getting quiet before the lesson starts for the day.
