Sign-Up For A Rehearsal Slot
To ensure your session runs seamlessly, we're introducing an opportunity this year for speakers to rehearse their presentations on the main stage the day before the Summit. If you're interested in familiarizing yourself with the main stage and walking through your presentation, please useto choose a convenient time for you on Tuesday, October 3rd, 2023. We're committed to providing you with all the tools you need for a successful presentation!

Workshop Check-in Process

When you arrive at the venue on October 3rd:
30 minutes before your stage time, you will meet our staff inside the San Mateo History Museum. The 2nd floor is where our workshops will be held.
The Workshop Emcee/Stage Manager & AV Tech will get you stage ready (mic setup, sound check, slide run through).
You will then have time to set out any worksheets for attendees.

Green Room Process

Calendar Invites
You will receive 2 calendar invites for your speaking engagement:
Stage Time Invite: This is the timeframe of your actual session when you are on stage presenting
Green Room invite: This is the timeframe 30 minutes before your stage time when you will be escorted to your green room ahead of your stage time.

Workshop Stage Expectations

Stage Size: 80 people who are sitting at round discussion tables.
Style: Inclusive and Socratic.
Description: The goal here is not to dominate the conversation, but to guide it. Providing though provoking conversation and then pausing to allowing groups of people to participate in discussion. Asking open-ended questions, encouraging everyone to take an opportunity to speak is key.
THE WIN: is to prompt community members with challenging new ideas and facilitate opportunity for conversations, fostering a productive exchange of ideas. Attendees should leave equipped with tools and resources to implement the ideas you’ve shared.
