AI can be a helpful tool for proofreading, clarifying, or improving the wording of your peer reviews. In most cases, using AI for these purposes is permitted.
However, please keep the following guidelines in mind:
Do not upload session recordings or transcripts to AI tools. These materials may contain sensitive information and should not be shared with third-party AI services. Write your observations first. Your unique perspective as a coach is the most valuable part of the review! We encourage you to draft your own feedback before using AI to improve clarity or grammar. Keep your voice authentic. Tutors are more likely to engage with feedback that feels thoughtful and personal. Overly generic feedback may be less effective. Be transparent if asked. If a coach has questions about how AI was used in a review, they may reach out and ask for clarification. This does not mean you're in trouble! We understand that many reviewers use AI responsibly as an editing tool.
Our AI guidance is continuing to evolve as the technology changes. At this time, our expectation is that AI should support your writing, not replace your own observations and judgment. If you have any questions about using AI while peer reviewing, please reach out to a coach!
