Splitting Expenses in a Group

A super simple way to split expenses across multiple people and quickly calculate who should pay whom

How to use this template

It’s pretty simple:
Add each person (or family, etc) to the table
Add every expense paid to the table, and just indicate which People it should be split with
Click Notify to send an email to each person with their amounts owed
Result: The table will show how much money each person owes AND who they should pay

To get started:
Copy page to doc
and
Clear People and Expenses table
A couple quick notes:
Split amount is always assumed to be split equally
It is not assumed that Paid By is included in Split with:
This is important because it allows for reimbursements to be just added as Expenses as well.
So if Person X reimburses Person Y, then they add an Expense that is Paid By X and Split with Y .
