Custom Fields

Background

Custom fields allow you to keep track of information specific to your church. For example: Membership dates or board service. Custom fields can be edited for each individual profile, and are sorted into tabs. It is important to understand what information will automatically be collected by PCO () before you add fields.

Field Type

Custom fields can be the following types:
FIELD TYPE
FORMAT
Text
Any text up to 1,000 characters
Paragraph
Any text up to 65,000 characters
Date
MM/DD/YYYY Dates in other formats will be ignored.
Yes/No
yes/no true/false not case-sensitive
Dropdown
Any existing option for the field must be an exact match of an existing option case-sensitive
Checkboxes
Any combination of existing values, separated by a | The values must be an exact match of an existing option. case-sensitive
Number
Any number
File
Bulk importing file fields in not currently supported.

Add Custom Fields

In order to add Custom Fields, you must create at least one Custom Tab. Click add tab, type the name of the tab, and press Enter.
Add fields by clicking New Field and choose what type of field you want it to be.
Your Tab is created
Use the pencils to edit the name of your tab any any fields.
Reorder the tabs and fields by dragging the handles.
Choose who can edit the fields on a person's profile with by clicking the x to remove the listed person or Share with to choose a person or .

Defining Custom Fields


Action Step:


Step 1: Click the Add Custom Field button below to add information that you want to track. If you are not sure how to track it, that is okay, add as much information as you can, and we will workshop together.

Step 2: Look at the tab table below and create categories for your fields
