While SAVVI remains a standards project at heart, adoption of any new standard is rooted in practical implementation. As such, learning from good practice and success across the local government sector is helping us to improve the SAVVI standards and practical approach as set out in the SAVVI Playbook. This sort of learning from the sector has been particularly helpful in our work to develop 'SAVVI Blueprints' which set out a repeatable pattern of personal data reuse for a specific vulnerability purpose, such as to address financial hardship.
The following learning examples set out how councils and other organisations achieved success in finding and supporting vulnerable people by re-using personal data. They have been produced by reviewing vulnerability initiatives and were selected because of their success and the outcomes they have achieved for vulnerable people.
The SAVVI project did not have any direct involvement in these vulnerability initiatives, but these learning examples have been published to celebrate their success and to provide transparency over the work and practices from which the SAVVI project is learning to improve the SAVVI standards and approach.
