SAVVI Data Enablers Meeting (20 September)

The SAVVI data enablers meeting on 20th September, chaired by John Curtis, GMCA, brought together 30 local authority practitioners and partners. The aim of SAVVI Data Enablers Working Group is to bring together Information Governance (IG) professionals and data practitioners together to form a forum where vulnerability data sharing challenges can be raised and considered. The group also provides feedback and quality assurance for the IG related outputs from the SAVVI project.

Scottish Rural Child Poverty project (SAVVI Project)

During this sprint, we confirmed with Scottish local authorities the continuation with part two of the Rural Child poverty project. The dates for the part two workshops are set for 23rd and 26th October. The workshops will be used to finalise and agree the data flow map, and to review and agree the draft DWP data reuse proposition and develop data reuse propositions for the Social Security Scotland and Council Tax data.

iStandUK Executive Board Meeting (26 September)

The SAVVI project reports to the iStandUK Executive Board. At the Q2 meeting of the Board, guest chaired by Shelley Heckman, Paul Davidson provided an update on the progress on the project.

CDDO Cross Government Vulnerability Working Group Meeting

Paul Davidson (SAVVI Product Owner) and Shelley Heckman (SAVVI Programme Manager) met with DSA on 26 Sept to plan for the next Working Group meeting. This was originally scheduled for 3 October, but has now been moved back to 11 October.

SAVVI’s definition of vulnerability

SAVVI published its definition of vulnerability, which is: ‘An Increased Risk of a Poor Outcome’. This helped Paul Davidson and the SAVVI team to rework parts of the concept model to reflect this definition and give further clarity on how data items can be used to predict specific vulnerabilities.
