Honouring my Moontime

Last full moon, when I was menstruating, I had probably one of the biggest epiphanies in my life. Not without help from some of my closest wisdom women. 🐢💚🐉

When listening to her deeply moving voice speaking about menstruating being one of the most powerful practices to truly be of service for all Life and Mother Earth, I had to cry and laugh at the same time. What a revelation. I simply didn’t know.

I read that some indigenous teachings say women can ask Grandmother Moon to give them new energy during Full Moon. When we are on our moontime around the full moon we become very intuitive; which invites us to take time for ourselves to nurture that intuition and to receive strong dreams. You can learn more

Trust me, it’s not easy for me as a doer to simply be, listen to my womb and don’t do anything. Last moontime, when I stepped into this sacred space of silence, rather spontaneously it took me a good day to wind down. But when I arrived it was an experience of inner peace, being home, and not pretending or performing anymore.

I had a chance to tap into this new understanding of my role as a menstruating person, and I was rewarded with this poem ‘I am Kath’ that came to me.
