Onboarding process

Get the new hires’ emails and invite them to all the relevant Slack and Team channels
Send them the general message that all engineers are supposed to follow:
Our main communication channel is Slack. We're expected to be online during working hours. Our secondary channels are WhatsApp and Teams. We have to be online there as well.
Give an update of what you did that day on WhatsApp every day before 7:30 PM WAT
Share nothing with people outside of the engineering team to keep internal things private.
Every task that you do must go through your engineering manager first.
Add a task or multiple tasks on the Jira board to break down your work. You can make PRs based on these small tickets.
We are supposed to join this at 10:00 AM WAT.
We follow the Agile Scrum framework
Add them to the scrum list on Slack and Jira. Give them this scrum update format:
what did you work on yesterday
what are you working on today
any blockers/issues? (blockers are things that are preventing you from completing your work)
As a word of advice, the faster you start coding, the faster you’ll understand the repo.
Tell them that they must abide by the rules and guidelines mentioned in the file in the repo. Give them the tech-stack document too. ​

Ensure they have access to Figma and Github
Mention that they can ask the team leads if they have any questions
Give an introduction of the engineers, team leaders and everyone’s roles
