Seminar Objective and Need

The aim of the program is to train the members of the company's Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) department to take on the management of the company's Safety & Health issues, under the guidance of the Safety Officer.

The program is aimed at

Employers / Managers, Safety and Health Representatives / Members of the Internal Protection and Prevention Service, Security Officers, anyone who wishes to deepen their knowledge in Safety and Health issues.

Knowledge

Acquiring knowledge of the Legislative requirements regarding the Health and Safety framework in Cyprus.
Acquiring knowledge regarding the identification of risks in the workplace and the methodology of preparing a Written Risk Assessment.
Acquiring knowledge for the proper development of a Health and Safety System.

Skills

Evaluate and recognize dangers in the workplace.
Prepare a Written Risk Assessment.
Design measures to reduce risks.
Design Safety and Health Systems.

Stance

Being able to manage safety and health issues in their daily work.

Introduction

For the needs of staffing companies operating in Cyprus, a training program was designed to meet the specifications described in the "Management of Safety and Health Issues at Work (Training of Employees, Self-employed, Members of ESIPP, Safety Representatives and Safety Committee Members)" Law 238/2021, Annex I.

Seminar Objective and Need

The need for the program is the training of the company's personnel to undertake the role of Safety Committee Presidents of the company.
The objectives of the program are:
Acquisition of knowledge on the Legislative framework governing Safety and Health issues as well as the relevant Regulations issued.
Acquisition of knowledge regarding the various sources and categories of risks that may be encountered in the course of their work, as well as the recognition of risks related to activities carried out in all areas of the company Pan-Cyprus.
Acquisition of knowledge regarding the risks related to
Fire safety
Electricity
Chemical and biological factors
Natural factors
Ergonomic factors and risks that cause musculoskeletal problems
Visual display screens
Mechanical means
Construction work
Acquisition of knowledge and skills for the correct application of techniques for reducing or eliminating risks.
Acquisition of knowledge and skills for the design of Action Plans and the management of emergency situations.
Acquisition of knowledge and skills for the preparation of a Written Risk Assessment.
The purpose of the program is for trainees to:
Be able to recognize risks in their workplace.
Develop methodical and knowledgeable risk assessments.
Be able to design measures to reduce and eliminate risks.

Method and Training Techniques

Personal training will be used, which will bring the trainee into direct contact with the trainer while also creating a relationship of trust with the other trainees.
