What makes a great FinOps Associate?

Thinking about how processes can be improved while running them
Keeping an eye on the future and how workload might change to keep the team informed about the scope needed too
Taking the initiative to research independently, but always asking for help when not sure

work

What you’ll likely be working on...

Bookkeeping, including communication with the partner team to ensure accurate allocation of costs & documentation
Managing a finance inbox, triaging questions, gathering reciepts & bills and keeping a close eye for anything potentially fraudulent
Preparing payment runs, liaising with the partner team to ensure approvals are obtained, according to policy
Raising and sending invoices, and chasing payments from customers
Preparing payroll, including gathering information from the relevant teams
Dealing with adhoc queries from partner teams and suppliers/customers
Keeping up-to-date process notes, including details of upcoming deadlines and responsibilities
Overseeing the month-end process, posting journals and preparing balance sheet reconciliations
Preparing monthly or quarterly VAT returns / annual EMI returns / ONS surveys and other bits of compliance
Coordinating with your team and the partner to ensure deadlines are met and work is completed to a high standard

Make payments from a partner’s bank account directly
Work without boundaries being always responsive to every partner
