Getting Started

Here are the steps to go from brainstorming in Miro to executing in Coda.
Brainstorm in Miro with sticky notes.
Embed Miro brainstorm in Coda (and continue to brainstorm).
Create a write-up (PRD) that ties back to your brainstorm.
Export your Miro sticky from Miro notes into Coda.
Clean up your Exported Table and narrow ideas into projects on your data page.
Add project tracking views to PRD and additional project tracking pages.
Bonus: learn how to sync your tables back into Miro, as Miro Cards.
Start by creating a brainstorm in Miro. We like originally designed for product teams, but can be used by anyone!
After you’ve got your Miro board brainstorm going, you can embed it as a page into this Coda doc (like we did with our template example: ). From there you can keep brainstorming directly in Coda, or, if you prefer, in Miro. Everything is synced.
As you near the end of the brainstorm, it’s a good time to take a look at your . Again, this write-up is originally designed for product teams, but the beauty in Coda is its customization. You can make your PRD a or a (or really anything you want!).
After you finish your brainstorming and write-up, import your Miro stickies into a Coda table to set the foundation for your project tracker. You can see how we did this on the
page. From there you’ll clean up the table by adding or deleting rows to align it with the projects you want to execute.
Now, create views on your and page that cut down on the noise and let you get work done. These views also show you (and your stakeholders) how the projects are progressing. Execution mode engaged.
If you have that teammate that just loves to work in Miro, check out Becca on our page talk about how you can sync the data in your project tracker back into Miro; so, everyone can work where ever they want.
