The whole semester will be dedicated to ‘Comprehensive Design Project (CDP)’ which is the continuation of selected project from the previous semester.
In the first part of the semester students will undergo a series of two weeks exercises focusing on certain aspects of the design including site planning, building construction and materials, building and energy use and compliance to Uniform Building by Laws.
In the second part; students are expected to finalize the various aspects of their design scheme by the end of the 11th week.
The last three weeks of the semester will be used to finalize their project presentation. The submission shall comprise a set of graphic presentations and technical reports describing the scheme.
Each student will be to present his/her scheme to a panel of assessors that consists of full-time staff and architects.
