Please take note that Design Studio 3B has been experimenting in a BIM and Digital Presentation Initiative.
The objective of this initiative is to prepare students for the practice of producing digital presentations against the current practice that using printing on paper.
We are trying to reduce the use of printed presentation drawings as the main presentation medium.
It was believed that by having digital presentations the student can reduce the cost and time of architectural production.
The initiative is run sync with the BIM introduction as part of the studio program.
Presentation Items and Medium
Students are required to produce:
Printed Drawings (B&W A1 size) that consist of at least:
Site Plan with roof plan (min 1: 500)
Ground Floor Plan with context (GFPx) of the surrounding (min 1: 250)
Ground Floor Plan (GFP) with less context (min 1: 200)
Basement Floor Plan (the same scale as GFP)
Each Upper Floor Plans (the same scale as GFP)
4 Elevations (the same scale as GFP)
2 Sections (the same scale as GFP)
1 Typical Sections of External wall (min 1:50)
Digital Presentation Drawings that consist of at least:

Building System Design (LOD 100)
Massing Concept
Circulation Concept
Services Concept
SOA
