Relay Impact is seeking an Editorial Research Assistant (Asia-Pacific) who is creative, passionate, self-motivated, and hungry to make an impact on the world.
This position is open to candidates in the Asia Pacific region only and offers a fixed, paid monthly contract. Pay is fair and aligned with the candidate’s skills, expertise and background. The position offers flexible working hours with in-person / virtual meetings required a few times per week.
ROLE AND QUALIFICATIONS
The candidate must be fluent in English (reading, speaking, and writing). Fluency in Chinese (Traditional) and other Asian languages is a plus.
Passion for supporting responsible growth in the Asia Pacific region and interest in corporate sustainability, social impact, impact investing, sustainable finance, and climate action
Ability to balance humor with a professional tone of voice geared towards our readership comprising of global investors, asset managers, senior executives, impact entrepreneurs, and sustainability professionals
Comfortable in presenting big picture ideas to the Editor, and providing feedback and suggestions on brand identity to the design team as well as on content strategy in the context of regional news, events, and policies
Strong organizational skills in conducting market research, surveys, competitor analysis, stakeholder analysis, researching on country profiles, data verification, and maintaining research references
Manage a remote team of contributing writers, manage guest posts from collaborators, evaluate potential partnerships, review articles contributed and their alignment with the editorial and brand guidelines, maintain content calendar, contribute towards newsletter, and assist in interviews with thought leaders, industry experts, impact entrepreneurs, and senior executives
Responsible to maintain a consistent brand personality in all our materials (including, generating templates, marketing collateral, media kit, and creative content) across all communication channels aligned with our brand voice: passionate, informative, professional, quirky, authentic and thoughtful
Meet growth targets and quarterly KPIs by increasing site subscriptions, growing social media following (Linkedin, Twitter, YouTube), and managing online presence on other channels/forums, maintaining conversion rate through effective marketing, public relations, and lead generation
Must be willing to take on administrative work and support the development of an early-stage startup including, supporting prelaunch activities, assistance in list building, gathering graphics, illustrations and stock footage, creating pitch decks, attending virtual events, and SEO keyword optimization
Skilled in managing digital tools and integrations, interest in improving processes, and optimizing workflow with productivity tools
Prior experience in startups / online media pertaining to brand development, multimedia communications, graphic design, website management, social media, storytelling, video-making, and data visualization is a plus
Knowledge of the Asia Pacific region, including stakeholders relevant to our readership base, investment challenges, policies, regulations, and/or markets for one/more of the following geographies is highly desired: Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, Vietnam, India, Malaysia, Philippines, and Thailand
