What kind of data do I need to prepare beforehand?
Before starting, it’s helpful to gather the following basic information. However, you don’t need to prepare some information if they are not used in your workplace.
Business profile: name, address, year established, sector, and number of employees.
Building information: size (in square feet), ownership (own or lease), and year of construction.
Vehicles: number, type of fuel, and average fuel use per month.
Cooling and heating equipment: number of ACs/refrigerators or stoves/boilers, and the type of refrigerant or fuel used.

Yes, the tool is completely free to use. There are no hidden costs or fees at any stage, from filling out the form to receiving your GHG Emission Report. This initiative is provided under the Prevent Plastics+ Project to support Myanmar businesses in understanding and managing their environmental impact.

How long does it take to complete the form?
It usually takes around 20 to 30 minutes, depending on how much data your business has and how prepared you are. If you already have the information you need you can complete it even faster.

What if I don’t have exact data (for example, monthly electricity use)?
If you don’t have the exact data, you can provide your best estimate or use the most recent available records. Try to keep your answers as realistic as possible, even estimated data helps build a useful picture of your emissions.

How many sections are there in the form?
The form includes nine main sections (topics):

However, you’ll only need to answer the sections that apply to your business.

What should I do if I make a mistake in one of the answers?
If you notice a mistake before submitting the form, you can go back and edit your answers easily. Once you have submitted the form, you will not be able to make changes, but you can contact the project team to request a correction.

What happens after I submit the form?
After you submit, the project team will review your data to make sure all information is complete and consistent. If something needs clarification, they may contact you directly. Once everything is verified, your GHG data will be analyzed to generate your business’s GHG Emission Report.

When will I receive my GHG Emission Report?
After you complete the data entry, you will receive a confirmation email from the project team acknowledging the submission of your data form. If any information is missing or incomplete, you will be notified accordingly. Once the full and verified data are received, you will receive the GHG Emissions Report within 30 working days.

How can I use the GHG Emission Report?
Your GHG Emission Report helps you:
Understand your main sources of emissions (energy, transport, waste, etc.)
Identify emission boundaries (Scope 1, 2 and 3) and the estimated emission amount of each scope
Communicate your sustainability efforts to customers, partners, and investors
This report can also support your participation in sustainability programs, green finance, or responsible business certifications.
