A showcase of best practices for making Coda docs that are enjoyable to build and use.
Hey! This is
@Paul Danyliuk
, master enchanter of Coda. You may know me by my numerous tips, tricks, hacks, and helpful answers in the Coda Community, or by my Coda consulting and building-for-hire practice.
I created this doc to showcase best practices for making Coda docs that are enjoyable to build and use.
As I was building this doc I filmed it and narrated extensively.
It’s quite a piece: almost 8 hours of videos on my YouTube channel:
When
the dust settles
, I’ll publish these in a more concise form on my upcoming blog.
Please subscribe to the newsletter there if you haven’t already.

Heads up:
This doc exceeds the Free plan object quota.

You can reduce object count by:
1. deleting this page after copying the doc
2. deleting the "Is demo doc" named formula
3. moving the "DB Something" pages outside of the "folders" pages
and deleting the "folders" once they are empty (you'll save up 5 objects)
4. moving all helper tables into the same page;
combining views from separate VIEW subpages onto a single page (you'll save up 3 more)
With best wishes,
Paul
