After a video call with Bill Teck in Miami in November 2022, I began work on this documentary chronicling the career of Stevie Van Zandt, actor, activist and musician of Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul and also the E Street Band. In between playing with Bruce Springsteen and a multitude of musical legends of the era, Stevie carved out a legacy of his own in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Along the way, he blazed a path forward within the music industry alongside the E Street Band and Artists United Against Apartheid, speaking out with fervor about racial politics of the time and apartheid in South Africa. Later he reappears as Silvio Dante in The Sopranos and again as Frank Tagliano in Lilyhammer.

Following a video call with Bill Teck in Miami in November 2022, I commenced work on this documentary, which traces Van Zandt's remarkable career as a musician, activist, and actor, spanning from his roots in New Jersey to performing in stadiums around the globe to starring in HBO’s Sopranos and Netflix’s Lilyhammer. Initially the job was to entail approximately 15 shots but eventually grew to 202 shots and lasted until June 2024.
The nature of the shots was primarily to create different settings into which the archival material (photos and some footage) would be composited.
