Why need IDE for crypto?
>lack of developer due to this, gains developer loyalty, and map back to Microsoft & Apple & Weixin’s success path (developer ecosystem)
>Need a white label IDE that includes developer login, engineering management, collaboration, code management & testing & audit, online deployment. Pros: invest in human resource -> higher utility because these will make develop UX better
>Why current crypto IDE (e.g. Remix) not “good”? Remix is too simply designed, almost just like a text editor with some crypto features, lack engineering/project management (e.g. sub-graph, multiple supporting SC), doesn’t have a sense of “project” but is a “file”/SC deployment tool. Must be a end-to-end development pipeline for good dev experience, and Remix can’t achieve so.
Why Platform become Platform (e.g. Steam becomes steam)?
>Killer app (e.g. Half Life)
>Self IP, platform-led development
“Blockchain needs game, game doesn’t need blockchain”
>but game DOES need blockchain: gaming market growth is slow (<5% in past 3 years); another data sources says 22Q3 growth down 25%. Global DAU reached maximum
>People don’t have money anymore, so they spend less, so game makes less (asso to macro economy). This is key problem.
>So, new games have to acquire users from old games, and leads to involution (quality ~10x than older games to acquire their user)
>How expand channel: population hard to increase, but equippment can increase (PC, mobile -> new equippment; this is a difficult approach). Second approach is, is it possible to move money from traditional investment into gamefi? Third is, if we give ownership of items to users, would they spend more money? 3rd is very likely.
Porting
>eg move a game on PC to Play Station; similar to cross-bridge. Key points: programming language, system architecture (e.g. solidity -> move), destination’s endogenous ecosystem integration (e.g. wallet difference, API, connecting protocols).
>Only one efficient solution: utilize gaming-engine like economy engine. This is also needed in crypto. This engine can standardize communication, transaction, etc.
Timer in Blockchain
>There is no timer in blockchain, unlike the traditional hardware world; there has to have someone to initiate the transaction.
