Climate change is one of the major challenges associated with the 21st century and is inextricably linked to the global economy and equitable social development.

It remains a key risk, both in terms of impact and likelihood, on the WEF’s risk register. This has resulted in several global change themes including a just energy transition, context-specific adaptation measures, and the urgent need to build social resilience across varying economies.

Managing climate change risks, impacts and contributions have become critical to business and operational continuity. However, the nature of climate change makes the management thereof challenging.

Complexity: The direct and indirect impacts of climate change are complex. Similarly, business ecosystems, post-pandemic economic growth and a rapidly changing financial environment are complex. As a result, climate change will exacerbate the current challenges within these environments and key economic sectors.

Long-term timeframe: Climate change is a long-term challenge which requires immediate actions, aligned to future mitigation and adaptation objectives.

Key drivers: The key drivers of climate change are the very same challenges many countries face in meeting sustainable development objectives: energy and decarbonisation, transport, and urbanisation and social vulnerabilities.

Multi-sector collaboration: Climate change is not an ‘environmental issue’. The impacts and risks because of climate change are cross-sectoral, either in context or impact. Therefore, climate change solutions require multi-party collaboration.

Our team has extensive experience in both mitigation and adaptation across a range of economic sectors as well as leading strategic climate policy development in different parts of the world.

* 주요 : 기후 변화의 주요 ㅎ은 에너지 및 탈탄소화, 교통, 도시화 및 사회적 취약성 등 많은 국가들이 지속 가능한 개발 목표를 달성하기 위해 직면하고 있는 것과 동일한 도전 과제입니다.

* 다부문 협력: 기후 변화는 '환경 문제'가 아닙니다. 기후 변화로 인한 영향과 위험은 맥락이나 영향 면에서 여러 부문에 걸쳐 있습니다. 따라서 기후변화 솔루션에는 다부문의 협력이 필요합니다.
