Purpose

This week we will review Washington’s speech, looking for connections between his main idea and quotes from the text.
Then we will turn our attention to Du Bois’ “Talented Tenth”, annotating his essay and summarizing his ideas.
Friday we will create a visual map of the debate, using Canva, in preparation for our Short essay due next week.
