But it’s awful tuh see so many people don’t want nothin’ but uh full belly and uh place tuh lay down and sleep afterwards. It makes me sad sometimes and then agin it makes me mad.” (pg 63)
Why might the townspeople be concerned about food and shelter and not ambition? Do you think the other people in Eatonville have the same opportunities as Joe Starks? Why or Why not?
