Chat systems in the USA

Last edited 163 days ago by Matthieu Jeunet
Communications and Video Accessibility Act (CVAA) is a legislative act that regulates the access of people with disabilities to modern communications. It applies to all video games released in the USA, requiring them to have advanced communications systems as accessible as possible.
For example, if the game contains communication systems in the form of text chat and/or voice chat, then those must independently meet all the requirements from the CVAA, along with their related UI used to navigate and operate communication functionality.
So, if your game features player-to-player chats (voice chat, text chat including quick messages or video chat), please consult our and check for a good reference on that subject.
