Welcome to my professional social work portfolio, which highlights key projects completed during my Master of Social Work (MSW) program at Arizona State University. The portfolio showcases work undertaken during two practicum placements: my foundation practicum at the Maricopa Association of Governments and my concentration practicum at NAMI Valley of the Sun.
At the Maricopa Association of Governments, I focused on systemic approaches to addressing youth homelessness, including the successful initiation and coordination of the statewide Youth Homelessness Systems Improvement (YHSI) Grant application. This initiative emphasized collaborative efforts among multiple Continuums of Care across Arizona and was deeply rooted in participatory youth leadership and intersectional equity.
During my concentration practicum at NAMI Valley of the Sun, I contributed to strategic and operational projects aimed at strengthening community mental health support. Highlights include developing a Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping tool to enhance strategic planning and accessibility for mental health programs, and coordinating advocacy efforts for Arizona’s Mental Health Day at the Capitol, which empowered individuals with lived mental health experiences to effectively advocate for policy changes.
These projects collectively illustrate my commitment to social justice, systemic improvement, and the meaningful inclusion of diverse community voices in social work practice.
