La Jolla Shores Hotel

Parking is extremely limited at Scripps Institution of Oceanography so we recommend using carshares, taxis, or shuttles. We have arranged shuttle options back and forth from the La Jolla Shores hotel to campus meeting locations from Tuesday through Friday at the beginning and end of the day.

We have a limited number of complimentary parking permits per day that will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis. To request availability, please email Hannah Gruen at

Daily hotel shuttle departure times to and from the La Jolla Shores Hotel and Scripps campus:

Please note that with large groups, there are bound to be some time discrepancies. The hotel’s shuttle driver will typically wait up to 10 minutes in the event the group is running late.
