Enumerators

The Enumerators allows you to manage key settings that define the structure and behavior of project elements. Values defined in Enumerators can be used . This includes configuring Folder Objects, Tasks, Types, Statuses, Priorities, Tags, and File Types. These enumerators are essential for creating organized project templates, workflows, and output management.
When creating a project template, you can specify which values from your Enumerators will be used in that project template.

Folder Objects

Folder Objects are the primary building blocks in a project. They help establish the project hierarch. Built-in objects such as Task or Folder cannot be changed or removed. However, additional objects can be created or modified based on your company’s project requirements.
Using custom folders allows you to easily filter different types of objects across multiple folders. For example, you can filter all compositing tasks in every shot or check the status of each shot within all sequences.
Examples of Folder Objects:
Asset
Episode
Sequence
Shot
To manage Folder Objects:
Go to Settings > Enumerators > Folder Object.
Click the "+" icon to create a new object.
Fill in the required information (e.g., object name, short name, icon, color) based on your project’s needs. (See image for reference.)

Once created, Folder Objects can be included in Project Templates.

Types

Types allow you to specify detailed categorizations for Folder, Task, and Output objects.
Folder and Task Types: Define the type of work associated with a task. For example, tasks might be categorized as Compositing or Rigging to specify the required work. This information is also used in the automated scheduler and is connected to user skills. Only users with the appropriate skills can work on tasks of a specific type.
Output Types: Specify the type of published output, such as Image, Plate, or 3D Render.
These types are crucial for complex pipeline configurations, allowing the software to recognize specific output types for importing/exporting within integrated software. They also provide an efficient way to filter and locate specific output types.
To manage Types:
Go to Settings > Enumerators > Types.
There are two tabs within Types:
Folder and Task Types
Output Types
Click the "+" icon to create a new type, and fill in the necessary details (e.g., type name, short name, icon, screen priority). (Refer to the image for guidance.)

Statuses

Statuses define approval steps for Folder or Task objects, as well as for Versions. Different statuses can be set depending on the stage of the folder, task, or version.
To manage Statuses:
Navigate to Settings > Enumerators > Statuses.
Click the "+" icon to create a new status.
Complete the required fields, including status name, short name, icon, color, and screen priority. (See attached image for example fields.). More information about

Other Enumerators

Task Priority: Add priority levels for tasks.
Note Categories: Define categories for organizing notes.
Tags: Tags can be assigned to Folders, Tasks, Outputs, and Versions. Different tags can be used across these objects, enhancing the organization and searchability within the project.

File Types

In the File Types tab, you can add supported file types that the software can open. Each file extension can have a Default WIP (Work-In-Progress) file, which will be used when creating new WIP files.
To manage File Types:
Go to Settings > Enumerators > File Types.
Click the "+" icon to add a new file type.
Fill in details such as File Type Name, Extension, and specify if it’s Openable within the software.

Only file types marked as Openable will appear in the WIP files tab, ensuring users can easily access the files they need.
