Social Media is one of the biggest issues with teenager in regards to their health.
The more time spent on social media can lead to cyberbullying, social anxiety, depression, & exposure to content that is not age appropriate. Social media is addicting.
Social media is an issue because teenagers use social media to communicate nowadays and become addicted to being on social media when they are bored.
Social media can cause FOMO (fear of missing out) from seeing others on social media post things that you might not have been invited to. Teens tend to stay up late watching tiktoks and disrupting their sleep/not getting enough sleep. It can also make teens see unrealistic views of other people lives and compare themselves to others.
Nowadays in 2023 social media has one of the biggest impacts on teens lives, as teens tend to revolve around social media in order to be satisfied. This is more important then others because anybody will believe anything they hear or see on social media.
You can set time limits for social media use. Find other activities to do instead of using social media. Spend time with family and friends instead of spending your time on social media.
Because most people see right through the negative impacts of social media and only see the positive side of social media.
