Notice how the table has two hidden columns, one called “Date” which copies over the values from the “Due date” column, and one called “People” which copies over the values from the “Assignee” column. These so-called adapter columns enable the original columns to be merged together with differently-named columns in other tables, without requiring you to rename any of the original columns. In this doc, it allows us to merge together the “Assignee” column with the “Owner” column in the table. You can hide these adapter columns to de-clutter the doc, so long as you enable the Hidden Columns configuration option in the Merge table.
