There are two ways to start a study session:
Method 1: Use the Pre-Loaded Library
Open the 📚 Study Explorer (Left Sidebar). (On mobile, tap the ☰ menu icon at the top left). Click on your Standard (e.g., Class 10). Click on your Subject (e.g., Science). Select the Chapter you want to study. The AI will prepare the material and introduce the topic! Method 2: Upload Your Own Chapter / Notes
Open the Left Sidebar and click the 📄 Upload Document button at the bottom. Select the Subject from the dropdown and type the Chapter Name. Choose your file (PDF, JPG, or PNG) and click Start OCR. Wait for the progress bar to complete. Your new chapter will now appear at the very top of the Study Explorer under the 📁 Local folder! 🗣️ Interacting with Your Tutor
Omni-Tutor is designed to be conversational. You can type or speak!
Type your question: Use the text box at the bottom of the screen and click the ➔ Send arrow (or press Enter on your keyboard). Use your Voice (Recommended!): Click or hold the 🎤 Mic icon. Speak your question clearly, and release/stop when you are done. The AI will convert your speech to text and reply. Listen to the Tutor: The AI will automatically speak its replies out loud! Desktop Users: You can change the AI’s voice and reading speed using the dropdowns at the top of the screen. To Stop Audio: Click the red Stop button at the top, or simply press the Escape (Esc) key on your keyboard. Use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge: For the best voice recognition (Mic) and text-to-speech features, we highly recommend using these browsers. Allow Microphone Access: When the browser asks for permission to use your microphone, click Allow. The Mic button will pulse red when it is actively recording you. Use Test Mode: Tell the AI, “Switch to Test Mode and ask me questions one by one.” This is highly recommended for exam preparation! Math is Beautiful: Don’t worry about complex math! The AI understands and perfectly displays fractions, geometry degrees ($90^\circ$), and complex equations. 🛠️ Troubleshooting & FAQs
Q: The AI voice sounds robotic on my Android phone. How can I change it?
Fix: If you find the default voice robotic, you can easily change it to sound much more natural! Here is how to change the Omni-Tutor voice on an Android phone: Open your phone’s Settings. Search for “Text-to-speech” and select “Text-to-speech output”. Click on the Gear icon next to your preferred engine. (Ensure the preferred engine is set to Google. Samsung phones may default to the Samsung engine; please change it to Google). Click on “Install Voice data”. Look for English (United States) (it may already be installed on your phone). Tap on it and select “Voice V” or “Voice VI” (we found these to be the most natural, but choose the one you prefer!). Go back to the Text-to-speech output screen and ensure the Language is set to English (United States). Click “Play” to preview the selected voice. Now, visit , and it will automatically use your beautiful new selected voice! 😊 Q: The Microphone isn’t working / The Mic button does nothing.
Fix: Ensure you have granted microphone permissions in your browser. Check the small lock/camera icon in your browser’s address bar to ensure the mic is allowed. Make sure you are not on a silent tab. Q: The AI is not speaking out loud.
Fix: Check your device’s volume. On mobile, ensure your phone is not on “Silent/Vibrate” mode. If you are on a phone, the voice controls are hidden to save space, but the AI uses your phone’s default voice. Q: My uploaded PDF/Image is stuck on “Starting…” or failed.
Fix: Ensure your file is a valid PDF, JPG, or PNG. Very large PDFs (e.g., 100+ pages) might take a few minutes or time out depending on your internet connection. Try uploading one chapter at a time! Q: I can’t see the Voice Speed and Voice Selection menus on my phone.
Fix: This is normal! To give you more screen space for reading, we hide these specific settings on mobile screens. The AI will automatically use your phone’s best available default voice. Q: Are my uploaded documents public?
Fix: Absolutely not! LearnLoop processes your documents and saves your chat history locally on your own device. No other students or users can see your uploaded files or conversations. Still need help? Reach out to the admins in the official LearnLoop WhatsApp Community! 🚀
