How It Works

The Problem

Your business relies on countless supplies, from printer paper to sheet metal, and running out can be catastrophic.
As a result, someone spends time every day, week, or month managing inventory and preventing stockouts.
That process is expensive, inefficient, and often ineffective.
Your business needs to effortlessly sync reordering with demand to ensure you always have what you need and avoid overstocking.

The Inspiration: Toyota Order Cards

Toyota pioneered and still uses a paper card resupply process rather than any enterprise software applications.
When you restock some amount of an item, (say, 100 reams of paper) attach an Order Card to one of the reams of paper close to the end of your stock (the “Minimum”).
Whoever pulls the ream of paper with the attached card, can scan the QR code on the order card, which will take them to your supplier’s website where they can purchase the “Order Quantity” number.
Ideally, the rate at which you use the supply, the minimum quantity selected, and the supply order lead time all match up so that you receive your new order of supplies just before you would stock out.

Rather than tediously write out dozens, if not hundreds of order cards for each supply, we’ve created a Supply Card database that allows you to simply print pre-formatted Supply Cards in different sizes drawing from a digital database that contains QR Codes.
You can scan one of the QR codes to immediately place a reorder, either by going the supplier’s website and placing an order, or by sending an automatically generated email to your supplier requesting a reorder of your “To Be Ordered” quantity.
The other QR Code on the card takes you back to your Supply Card database. In the database, you cna place orders online or send a reorder email with the click of a button. However, if you perform this action in the database, you can add notes to your order, which will show up the next time you scan the QR code, so if your”Minimum Quantity” or “Order Quantity” might need to change, you can make changes to the order card, or make a note to monitor this the next time you scan that order card.

Order History by Item, Date, or Supplier, Allowing You to Identify Trends

Orders will automatically be recorded in our order history, so you can track how often you’re making orders to a particular supplier, or how often you’re ordering a particular item and identify trends.

Create Efficiencies with the Shopping Cart and Reorder Urgencies

If you don’t need to reorder your items immediately, you can add them to the “Shopping Cart”. You can sent a custom “Reorder Urgency” for each item so that it is ordered at the end of the day, the end of the week, or the end of the month.
As your shopping cart grows and your items hit their resupply dates, reorder emails or links will automatically be triggered. However, if you’ve added multiple items to the shopping cart from the same vendor, only one email or order will be sent out to that vendor, and it will contain all of the items you need to order from that vendor, preventing confusion and annoyance on the vendor side, but also saving on shipping costs.
