Simple Voice Chat

Proximity chat information for our server and how to install.

Simple Voice Chat is a proximity chat mod that allows you to talk and/or join group chat with other players in-game who also have this mod. It also allows you to hear custom music discs or custom goat horn sounds via our

AudioPlayer⁠

mod.

Installing this mod is not required, but it is highly recommended for an enhanced in-game experience.

To install Voice Chat, this mod requires

You will need to use either 1.21.7-2.5.xx or 1.21.8-2.5.xx which are both compatible to our server. The latest version 1.21.8-2.6.x is not compatible at the moment.

In-Game Commands

To view settings press V in game.

To view groups, press G in game.

To toggle mute, press M in game.

Note: If another mod such as Journeymap uses any key above, check your key bind settings for conflicts and change as needed.

Need help installing a mod for the first time? There are two main options.

1) Install and use a third-party Minecraft launcher.

Best if you plan to install multiple mods including Simple Voice Chat.

Steps to install mods and mod loader varies by launcher being installed.

2) Install in Vanilla Minecraft Launcher (Incompatible with macOS)

Best for those that only need to install Simple Voice Chat or a few other mods.

Follow the steps below to install Fabric and Simple Voice Chat.

If you need additional assistance with installing Simple Voice Chat, there are some community members including staff that may be able to help you.

How to Install Fabric and Simple Voice Chat for Vanilla Launchers

Note: This will not work on Macs because vanilla launchers on macOS does not request mic permissions.

1) Download both files from the following websites below (clickable link).

2) Open fabric-installer file and then click Install.

Note: The version in the image may be outdated.

3) Place the following file you have downloaded into the Minecraft mods folder.

voicechat-fabric-1.21.x-2.5.xx

Need help finding your Minecraft mods folder?

Windows: You can press the (⊞ Windows + R) or type run in the bottom search bar to open the dialog and type %appdata%\.minecraft then click OK. After that, open the mods folder. If you do not see the mods folder, create a folder called mods in the .minecraft folder. (Note .minecraft contains the dot)

4) Open your Minecraft launcher and select fabric-loader-1.21.x, then press PLAY.

And that is it! You are finally done. Now you can voice chat in-game with other players.
