CXL

Hidden plans, text-heavy, cancel flows.

In this screen, CXL condenses all of their main offers on this one screen:
Intercom pop-up for users that want to get help.
Priming users to “pause” that takes place immediately vs end of the billing period, and helps make up for unused days
Offers an alternative pricing tier.

Idea:

Incentivize pause behavior to make up for unused days

Freeform feedback is a way to get open-ended answers. CXL segments the follow-up question based on what users choose previously in the MCQs.
They bake in a pricing survey, asking users to specify the exact dollar amount that would keep them as a subscriber.

Ask for the exact dollar amount that would encourage someone to stay

Accepting the offer is an opt-in, which means users have to click on the checkbox to accept the offer. The copy around “We’d really like to make {{product-name}} work for you” is pleasant! The little gift icon used stands out and makes the offer a little more joyful.

They simply take users back to the my account page where users can see all the details related to their subscription upfront and a helpful message summarizing the action they’ve just taken. There’s a little reactivate button as well.
