Phase 01: Quick Wins & Warm Up
The goal for this phase is to give us “Quick Wins” and momentum. You’ll have a new prompt every day to get inspired from. You can paint or draw them in your own style. These are small object or simple subject to paint either from imagination or from photo-studies, the choice is yours.

Phase 02: Portrait Study
For the second phase of the challenge you’ll need to sketch/draw 7 portrait from a reference picture. Repeating the same subject will make it easier for you to really understand it. For this phase, David Belliveau will be going live on youtube to talk about the Andrew Loomis method to help you with your portraits.

Phase 03: Original Character
Phase 3 is all about creating something unique. We’ll push our limits by creating an original character. We will merge phase 1 and phase 2 to create phase 3. What I mean is that you’ll need to paint a unique portrait or character and get inspired from at least one of the prompt from phase 1. For this phase, David Belliveau will release a video to show the process.
