Project Brief with JIRA
The Project Brief is designed to include an entire Product Story in a single doc - from brainstorming, to task tracking, to having a retrospective. This doc grows as the project does, with users adding their own sections, views, and content as they see fit. This is the template we use at Coda to begin our projects, with some added content to show an example of what it could look like filled in. Many of our customers run engineering execution on Atlassian’s Jira product. We’ve extended our basic template to show how you can set up a Zapier integration to bring data from Jira into Coda.
Scrum Project Template
Scrum itself is a simple framework for effective team collaboration on complex products. This template uses the scrum methodology to help your team manage projects. If you are new to scrum, check out Scrum.org to get an overview of the methodology. This template walks you step-by-step on how to manage a project with a product backlog, stories, and sprints. Some of the steps involved: Create Product Backlog - Create stories in the product backlog that you can assign sprints and estimated efforts to Plan Tasks - Break the story down into individual tasks with an owner, task status, and actual effort for the task Task Board - View the task board to update statues or assign new resources Sprints Overview - Define the sprints and click a button when they start; view your burndown chart
Product Launch Tracker
A more compact version of the Product Launch Hub, this template is geared towards smaller teams that need a simple way to track team and tasks. You can get a bird’s eye view of your project just like the Product Launch Hub, but fewer sections in this template means easier navigation for your team members. Also included in this template is a section that is reserved just for your customer interviews. Store your customer feedback in a structured table along with the free-form notes from your interviews.
