What's Inside the Journal?

Your trading journal is made of three main pages. Here's how they work:

📦 1. Base Database

This page contains all the raw data and back-end connections. You don’t need to touch this page. Just leave it as is.

✍️ 2. Insert Your Trade

This is your daily control panel. From here, you can quickly:

➕ Add a new row to the Today table (every day you trade)

➕ Add a new row to the Month table (at the start of each month)

➕ Add a new row to the Trades table (every time you take a trade)

Use this page to keep your journal updated in seconds.

📊 3. Analytics

This is where the magic happens. You’ll find charts and metrics that show your progress, gains, losses, and trading performance.

The more consistent your entries, the more useful these insights will be.

Built for More Than Just Notes

This Trading Journal is far more advanced than anything you can build in Notion.

All your trades, strategies, days, months, and years are connected automatically. They communicate with each other through the creation date — no need to link anything manually.

Every entry you make updates the entire system in real time:

Add a trade → it shows up in your daily and monthly stats

Add a new day → it pulls in your trades and calculates gains

Add a strategy → it links to all relevant trades automatically

You just focus on trading. The system takes care of the rest.

How to Use Your Trading Journal

To make sure your journal works properly, follow these simple rules every time you trade:

🟢 Each trading day:

Create a new row in the Today table by clicking the ➕ button.

This is where you log your daily performance, notes, and reflections.

📅 On the first day of each month:

Create a new row in the Month table by clicking the ➕ button.

This allows the system to track monthly totals and stats.

💼 Every time you take a trade:

Go to the Trades table and click the ➕ button to add a new trade.

Fill in all the key info: time, strategy, quality, result, and optionally a screenshot.

✅ Reminder: This journal is simple but powerful — as long as you keep it updated every day. If you skip days… it won’t help you much 😅

How to copy this template
