Do I need to be an experienced RPG player to join?
No, all experience levels are welcome. The system I usually run is very friendly to beginners and those who have never played RPG games before. Our community is inclusive and supportive, always willing to help newcomers orient themselves and get comfortable with the game.
What kind of RPG games are we playing?
I will always prepare a game using the Savage Worlds system set in my Sovereign setting. This is a cloak-and-dagger, low magic, high action game where players act as the secret police of a renaissance-like empire. It is a very investigative type of game. The Sovereign setting is perfect for outdoor play as much of the scenery is rural and forested, aligning well with our natural surroundings. You can explore more about the setting
. However, I am very open to other people running different types of games. If you have a game you would like to run or a suggestion for a different game, feel free to let me know. We are open to playing a variety of RPGs, including the Root tabletop RPG or something entirely different.
How can I contribute to the community?
We love welcoming Game Masters (GMs)! If you’re interested in running a game, please reach out to us. You can contact us via our
, our contact form on the website, or by email. Contributing as a GM is a wonderful way to enrich our community. You can also help organize events, share your RPG expertise, bring necessary supplies, or simply participate with enthusiasm. If you have specific skills or resources you’d like to offer, feel free to reach out to us.
What if I want to run a game?
That’s perfect! We encourage members to run their own games during our outings. It adds variety and excitement to our events, and it’s a great way to share your creativity and passion for RPGs. If you want to run a game, please contact us via our
You’ll need basic camping gear, your RPG materials (dice, character sheets), and a sense of adventure! Specific packing lists will be provided for each event, but essentials typically include a sleeping bag, weather-appropriate clothing, a sleeping pad or mat, insect repellent, coins for the shower, and a good attitude.
Is transportation provided?
Yes, transportation is provided. I always rent a car of an appropriate size, and the cost is shared among participants. There will be two types of tickets: with car transport and without car transport. People with car transport tickets will chip in for the fuel. Due to the difficulty in coordinating the boat transfer to the camp, I prefer everyone books a seat in the car if possible.
What kind of accommodations are available?
We offer a range of accommodations depending on the campsite. At Camp Minoishi, there are cabins available for splitting into several groups, such as men, women, and couples. We are committed to providing a comfortable and inclusive environment for everyone. If you have specific preferences or requirements, please let us know in advance so we can arrange appropriate accommodations. Additionally, there is a large tent area for those who prefer a more rustic experience. The campsite features amenities such as a large area with tables under a roof, making it ideal for our RPG sessions.
What is the food situation?
In general, everyone brings their own food, and we make meals together. Before each event, we sync and decide who brings what and what we’re going to cook. The camp has barbecue fire pits and everything needed for a nice camping cookout. People with dietary restrictions are free to bring their own food and prepare it separately. It’s also fine.
. While you are free to RSVP on our other groups (Discord, Meetup), a Peatix ticket is necessary to confirm your booking for the event.
What is covered by the cost?
The cost covers the rental of the cars, which bring all the necessary equipment for the game, cookware, and additional gear. All tickets cover accommodations and the boat fare to and from the campsite. Tickets for those taking the car also cover the fuel split among everyone in the car. The use of extra paid facilities, like showers, is not covered. However, if we end up with a surplus of money after all the fees, we can use it in the camping grounds shop.
What happens in case of bad weather?
We monitor weather forecasts closely and will provide updates if there are any changes to the event plans. In case of severe weather or unforeseen circumstances, the event will be cancelled and a full refund will be provided. The refund will cover all costs minus a proportional share of the car rental cancellation fee, which should not be very high.
What is the cancellation policy?
Up to two weeks before the event, you can cancel for a full refund. After that, there are no refunds, but you are free to transfer your ticket to someone else. This is because we need to book the car and camping spaces in advance, and changes close to the event date are difficult to manage.
Is this a commercial event?
No, this is not a commercial event. We split the costs among all participants, including myself. This is something we do as a group for fun, and nobody makes any money from it.
