If you already had a Windows Server on your VM, you should skip this process

Open your
VMWare Workstation Pro.
⁠

Choose Typical (recommended).

Select I will install the operating system later.

Choose Microsoft Windows, and select Windows Server 2022 from the dropdown menu.

Enter the VM name you wanted before clicking Next.

Set the disk size to 40-60 (recommended), and click Store virtual disk as a single file.

Click Customize Hardware.

Set Network Adapter to Bridged (Automatic), and uncheck the Replicate physical network connection state.

Select New CD/DVD (SATA), then click Use ISO image file before clicking “Browse...”.

Find the .iso file that contains the Windows Server OS.

Click Close.

Select Finish.

Power on your virtual machine.

Click the VM screen, and press Enter key multiple times to enter boot installation.

Click Next.

Choose the second OS type which it has Desktop Experience.

Agree to the License Terms.

Choose the Custom: Install Microsoft Server Operating System only (advanced)

Click Next.

Wait for the installation to finish

Click Restart now.

Add a password.
