Statements of purpose
LOOVE sees creative work in the arts as a beacon for the solutions needed in society, across all borders, now and into the future.
NEPAAL is a new organization devoted to providing business frameworks towards a more integral, dynamic and empowering marketplace for artists, institutions and audiences
Community by community, in the physical and virtual world, The organization supports the creation of experiences, transactions and agreements in the music and media environment that are informed by the same commitment to constructive collaboration, beauty and progress that are found in the community of working artists.
[SS] Starting from a belief that musical values should shape our markets rather than market values shaping our music, LOOVE is devoted to providing practical and inspiring business frameworks towards a more integral, dynamic and empowering ecosystem for artists, institutions and audiences.
Community by community, in the physical and virtual world, LOOVE supports the creation of experiences, agreements and transactions in the music and media environment that inspire mutual trust and reciprocity.
Operations
LOOVE is focused on several areas:
fundamentals and cooperative standards for arts organizations- devising new building blocks for media-related agreements, inspired by grassroots arts activist organizations and collectives- as well as coalitions working in law, the arts and labor.
Propagating standards - generating consensus with thought leaders in law and arts organizations towards a common declaration of standards in the digital arts and media environment- encompassing commercial distribution of new work, ad-based social media as well as in producing and presenting new work in person.
Manifesting standards - constructing open source strategic performance, distribution, licensing, sales and Digital Rights Management template agreements built upon those principles, takingconsidering the needs of creative workers, production professionals and presenting institutions in mind (as well as audiences concerned with the health of the arts sector.)
Curating and generating arts grants and commissions for working collectives on a project by project basis - both as a way to generate opportunities for creative artists, and to provide seed funding for projects on partnering profitsharing platforms.
