OpenAI Prompt Engineering Template

Quickly compare results of variations of a prompt, given multiple sets of inputs.

This template will generate permutations, test each prompt on each input, and show you the results.


If you are using OpenAI to classify / tag input data, you can supply the expected result and refer to the “Hit Rate” summarized for each prompt, below, to iterate and improve.

Why input data?

Presumably, you’re injecting some dynamic content into your prompts before sending them to OpenAI. The inputs table demonstrates doing so, here.
You can use the Coda Cross-Doc Pack to source data from your own doc. To do this, open the Connected Data toggle and follow the instructions.
