Your Role & Responsibilities

Our church has a unique staff structure. We have "Network" staff and "Campus" staff.
Campus staff have specific job responsibilities for one of our church locations.
Network staff are responsible for supporting a specific ministry across all locations.

Check out the descriptions below to find out what our Network team is responsible for and what Campus teams are responsible for.

Network Responsibilities


DIRECTION: The Network team will be responsible for providing clear direction for each program, team and initiative across all of Sandals Church Kids.
RESOURCES: The Network team will be responsible for providing all of the essential content, tools and resources for each program, team and initiative to be successful.
SUPPORT: The Network team will be responsible for the care and coaching of the kids ministry staff at each campus.

Campus Responsibilities


IMPLEMENT: Campus teams are responsible for following the direction defined by the Network team, operating within the structures put in place and leveraging the resources provided to lead their volunteers, kids and families well.
CONTEXTUALIZE: Campus teams are responsible for contextualizing the Sandals Church Kids content and systems to fit the unique needs and opportunities in their environment.
TEAMS: Campus teams are responsible for recruiting, training, communicating with and developing their volunteer teams.
CARE: Campus teams are responsible for ministering to and caring for their people.

Your Role

The scope of your role may vary based on the staff structure at your campus, available hours or specific assignments from your Campus Pastor. But the core of what you do remains pretty consistent with what other Kids Leads do. Check out the lists below to get an idea what an average work week looks like. (Keep in mind that this does not include things like special events.)

Your Weekly Tasks (Sample)


SUNDAY TASKS
Lead a pre-service huddle with your volunteers 30 minutes before the first service.
Make sure the Rokus are working properly before services start.
Make sure your leaders are in the right rooms and at the right time.
Make sure your leaders have everything they need.
Be present on campus by connecting with parents, recruiting new volunteers and being available for people who need to talk.

MIDWEEK TASKS
Process new volunteers in CCB.
Schedule your team members for the upcoming weekend.
Send an email to your volunteer team preparing them for the upcoming weekend using the Sandals Kids Weekly template in CCB.
Submit weekly attendance numbers at sandalskids.com/2020.
Prepare rooms for Sunday: lesson materials, sign-in sheets, refill snacks, etc.
Make more and labels if necessary.
Prepare list for monthly Early Childhood promotion by running CCB report.
Download the media content to USB Drives for the Roku system at sandalskids.com/roku.
Meet with 1-2 volunteers to build relationships and invest in them.
Meet with the rest of the Sandals Church Kids staff for a bi-monthly Campus Outlook meeting.
Meet with the Network Kids Lead for a monthly one-on-one.

ABOVE & BEYOND TASKS
Run a birthday report in CCB. Send weekly birthday postcards to kids.
Send a text or hand-written card to a volunteer or parent.

Your Schedule


Your work schedule may vary based on the amount of hours you work and the needs of your campus. The outline below represents a typical work week for our team members.
MONDAYS: Network Meetings
All of our Sandals Church Kids staff will gather for a team meeting twice a month at the Hunter Park campus. If you’re not able to be onsite for this meeting, there is a video-conferencing option available. To access it online, pull up the Google Calendar invite and click on “Join Hangouts Meet”.
Once a month you’ll meet with the Network Kids Lead for a one-on-one.

TUESDAYS: Campus Meetings
Campus teams usually meet together at their campus on Tuesdays.

WEDNESDAYS, THURSDAYS & FRIDAYS: Varies
SATURDAYS & SUNDAYS: Host Services
We typically show up at least an hour before services begin to set up and prepare.
