Service level agreement between Cardinal Newman Partnership & People in Commons CIC

This agreement sets out the partnership between People In Commons Community Interest Company (CIC) and Cardinal Newman Partnership, whereby James Gardiner will provide research and consultancy for the partnership of schools.
People In Commons CIC and Cardinal Newman Partnership have agreed the terms of the work that will be undertaken as set out below.
Date: This agreement runs from October 2025 to September 2026 unless terminated in accordance with the Terms of this agreement.
Cost and specification: People In Commons CIC are a transparent organisation, our cost will be as follows:
Research is based upon the size and scope of the existing offerings of the schools:
Base line offering for one school over the year: £20,000
Each additional school within the partnership will be £5
000
for a partnership of
People in Commons will charge £40,000 over the period of the first year.
The benefits of working as a social enterprise: Social Enterprise enables social value to be maximised throughout any service delivery. People In Commons CIC is a not-for-profit company. The incorporation as a not-for-profit enables People In Commons CIC to focus all resources towards implementing value based provisions rather than generating profits for share holders or members. All income generated is therefore used to its maximum social value, through the development of service.
People In Commons CIC will support the partnership by working to:
Research: Understand the context of operations of out-of-school services across the partnership schools, demonstrating the potential value the partnership will gain. This will require interviews to be conducted with school administration personnel; Analyse each of the external providers, assess impact of these existing operations and provide analysis; Report progress to the partnership leadership team at regular intervals, to be determined through agreement, but anticipated to be monthly throughout the year. The partnership will:
Work with People in Commons research lead, James Gardiner, to facilitate meetings with partnership school leaders; Participate in developing the research process, involving students, governors, parents’ carers and wider community stakeholders; Provide opportunities for partnership staff to access training to develop their understanding of the wider context at play; Commit budget to the value determined within this agreement.
Through a separate SLA, if the partnership wish to continue working with People In Commons CIC, the CIC will:
Present alternative models of operation for the partnership to consider, supporting the partnership in both the governance and transparency of operations of all services from their facilities; Set up and oversee any transfers of operations into new ways of working. Provide new and initiative ways of operating alternative economic value flow systems for the entire partnership operations.
As part of this ongoing agreement, the partnership will:
Commit 3% annually, of the additional revenue, to support this ongoing work with People In Commons.

5) Confidentiality: This agreement is for the attention of Cardinal Newman Partnership and People In Commons CIC
6) Renegotiation/renewal: This agreement and pricing will be reviewed each year unless either party wishes to dissolve the agreement through the above process, as set out in ‘Terms”
