Volta Advisors are a selective group of deep subject matter experts, ideally equipped to bolster startup development due to their intimate understanding of the startup ecosystem. They either have a substantial background in startup mentorship or are seasoned founders themselves. By drawing upon their expertise, Growth Coaches can address specific challenges and accelerate progress towards the startups' objectives and key results (OKR's), while also mitigating risks.

The Advisor Engagement Process:

Identifying the Need:
In your role as a Growth Coach, vigilantly evaluate the startups' processes and pinpoint areas where expert intervention is required.
Initiating Support Engagement:
During the Growth Meeting, present the identified need for specialist input and initiate a support engagement.
Articulating the Requirement:
Compose a concise paragraph detailing your perspective on the support needed and input this into the Volta OS.
OS Auto-generation and Review:
The OS will automatically generate a problem statement, assess the potential negative impact, and propose corresponding OKR's. Examine these elements to ensure they align with your initial intent and provide a clear direction for the Advisor.
Advisor Discovery and Scope Refinement:
Selected Advisors will conduct a discovery call with the startup to gain a deeper understanding of their unique situation. They will then refine the OKR's and estimate the scope and hours required for their input, updating this in Asana.
Approval of Scope:
As a Growth Coach, it's imperative to assess the Advisor's proposed scope. Confirm that it aligns with the team's monthly and quarterly OKR's to ensure strategic coherence.
Tagging for Investment Approval:
Tag the Volta Startup Success Team in Asana for approval of the anticipated investment in Advisor support.
Startup Contribution Consideration:
Consider if cost sharing applies to the startup's stage. If so, a contribution agreement will be prepared and shared with the startup before final approval, ensuring their commitment to co-financing the support.
Finalizing Investment:
Upon the startup's agreement to the contribution terms, the Volta Startup Success Team will review and either approve or decline the proposed investment in expert Advisor support.
